强氧化剂:过硫酸钠具有强氧化性，可用作氧化剂，可将Cr3+、Mn2+等氧化成相应的高氧化态化合物，当有Ag+存在时，可促进上述氧化反应；利用其氧化性可用作漂白剂、金属表面处理剂、化学试剂；医药原料；电池、乳液聚合反应的促进剂和引发剂。
