毒性:剧毒。溶解度较小的镉化合物首先作用于呼吸器官及胃肠道，吸收作用表现为中枢神经系统及周围神经系统、内脏，主要是心脏、肾、肝、骨骼肌及骨组织的损害。氧化镉粉尘的急性中毒，可见上呼吸道及呼吸道深部黏膜的刺激症状，如口中有甜味、前额部疼痛、眩晕、无力、恶心、上腹部疼。慢性中毒症状是嗅觉降低、头痛、消瘦。氧化镉粉尘的最高容许浓度为0.1mg/m 3 ，日平均浓度为0.03 mg/m 3 。如发生中毒，应速将中毒者移至空气新鲜处，安静、保暖，有呼吸道刺激症状时应吸入温热的2%碳酸氢钠溶液，工作时应戴防毒口罩、防护眼镜，穿无缝工作服或连衫裤，戴橡皮手套及围裙，工作期间及工作后要漱口。
