用途三:具有触杀和胃毒作用；有渗透作用，但无内吸作用；广谱、高毒杀虫、杀螨剂，防治介壳虫有特效。防治棉蚜、棉叶蝉、棉盲蝽，用40%乳油7.5～11.3mL/100m 2 对水喷雾，防治柑橘矢尖蚧、糠片蚧、蜡蚧（雄），用800～1000倍液喷雾，若蚧用1000～3000倍液喷雾，间隔20d再喷1次即可。防治棉铃虫、红铃虫，用40%乳油15～30mL/100m 2 对水11.3～15kg喷雾。防治果树害虫宜花前施药，对越冬昆虫幼虫及即将孵化的卵均有效，此外还可用于防治茶小绿叶蝉。
用途二:用于防治柑橘、苹果等的介壳虫，也用于向日葵、核桃、桃树和大胡桃等
方法一:羰基肼的制备在反应锅内加入氢氧化钠、水、甲醇搅拌2h，降温至23～25℃滴加二硫代碳，保温2h,升温至（30±2）℃滴加水合肼并保温1.5h，冷却至0℃，离心得到灰白色的羰基肼晶体。噻二唑酮的制备在反应锅内加入水、羰基肼，加入硫酸控制温度55～60℃，滴加氯甲酸三氯甲酯，约2h滴毕，（60±2）℃下保温2h，冷却至15℃离心，加冷水洗涤，得到淡黄色噻二唑酮晶体。杀扑磷的合成在反应锅加75%硫酸、噻二唑酮、溶剂A、催化剂，升温至25℃下加入甲基硫代物，降温至20℃滴加甲醛，控温20～25℃滴毕升温至40℃保温2h，静置分去废酸层，加入水洗涤两次，70℃以下脱去1/2溶剂A和水分，冷却至0℃结晶，离心，得到白色杀扑磷原药，含量96%～98%，母液套回到杀扑磷合成中。含量96%～98%，收率42%。杀扑磷合成也可将5-甲氧基-2-氧代-1，3，4-硫二氮茂与甲醛和亚硫酰氯反应制得3-氯甲基-5-甲氧基-2-氧代-1，3，5-硫二氮茂，并将其与O，O-二甲基二硫代磷酸反应制得。文献报道汽巴-嘉基公司、以色列亚姆公司对噻二唑酮合成采用光气法合成，杀扑磷纯度96%～97%。
用途四:非内吸性杀虫剂，用于防治果树、棉花、蔬菜等作物上的矢尖蚧、糠片蚧、蜡蚧、褐圆蚧、粉蚧、棉蚜、棉红蜘蛛、棉铃虫、苜蓿象虫等害虫、害螨。
中毒症状:急性中毒多在12小时内发病，口服立即发病。轻度：头痛、头昏、恶心、呕吐、多汗、无力、胸闷、视力模糊、胃口不佳等，全血胆碱酯酶活力一般降至正常值的70－50% 中度：除上述症状外还出现轻度呼吸困难、肌肉震颤、瞳孔缩小、精神恍惚、行走不稳、大汗、流涎、腹疼、腹泻。重者还会出现昏迷、抽搐、呼吸困难、口吐白沫、大小便失禁，惊厥，呼吸麻痹。

毒性:雄性及雌性大鼠急性经口LD 50 分别为43.8mg/kg和26mg/kg，大鼠急性经皮LD 50 150mg/kg（1546mg/kg)，兔200mg/kg。对眼睛无刺激作用，对皮肤有轻度刺激性。大鼠2年饲喂试验最大无作用剂量为每天0.15mg/kg （0.25mg/kg)。动物试验未见致畸、致癌、致突变作用，三代繁殖试验和神经毒性试验未见异常。虹鳟鱼LC 50 0.01mg/l
