防护措施:本品有毒，能刺激皮肤，会引起亚急性皮炎，对中枢神经有一定的刺激作用。生产设备应密闭，防止跑、冒、滴、漏，操作人员应佩戴防护用具。其他要求参见“正丁胺”。
用途二:用于制取表面活性剂、矿物浮选剂、十二烷基季铵盐、杀菌剂、农药、乳化剂、洗涤剂等
蒸气压:64 mm Hg ( 170 °C)
方法一:以月桂酸为原料在催化剂硅胶存在下通入氨气反应，生成物经水洗、干燥、减压精馏得月桂腈。将月桂腈在活性镍催化下加氢，即还原得十二胺。把月桂腈加入高压釜中，再加适量活性镍，通氮置换室内空气。在搅拌下加热至80℃，反复充氢直至不再吸收为止，保温反应3h。冷却，将所得粗品进行减压蒸馏，即得十二胺。
